MacKintosh ConsultingMacKintosh Consulting is an international company of business consultants delivering tailored solutions to a wide array of clients including multi-nationals, government organisations, community-level organisations, and professional athletes and sports teams. These solutions include proven products and services (programs and processes) that can be sold to an organisation to provide them with their own capability of providing education and training internally. MacKintosh Consulting is looking to establish "virtual" companies in selected, desirable regions. At present we have organisations in Canada and the United Kingdom and are looking to grow in the U.S.A., France, Germany, and Russia. A virtual organisation provides the structure for a widely diverse team of individuals to come together to work on specific projects and maintain their own projects as well. The range of diversity is difficult to recruit and maintain in a standard consulting organisation and for individual consultants requires stretching their resources to bring in individuals on a project basis. In the virtual model, expert trainers and facilitators will have access to a wider array of clients. Individuals will also have a diverse team of individuals to call upon when their clients require services beyond their scope and in such an instance act as a salesperson through to a project manager. A virtual organisation also supports individuals in their own personal and professional growth and development from consultants to facilitators and the various roles and responsibilities within MacKintosh Consulting. An ethos of MacKintosh Consulting is to reflect and model the education and processes that we deliver to our clients and as such all individuals should become more than fully conversant with the various elements of the programs and processes and that the various MacKintosh companies should experience the education as well as part of their growth and development. Ownership will be discussed later. In order to achieve this goal we are looking to partner or form strategic alliances with individuals and/or organisations that would complement our products and services or who would see their own advantage in partnering with us. These arrangements could include selling and marketing MacKintosh Consulting and its products and services for an agreed upon fee (including percentages) and delivering the education and training as a facilitator or trainer for MacKintosh Consulting for a fee. We also have marketing materials about some of the products and services that we represent. These include materials from Belgard, an American firm that specialises in leadership and team training. MacKintosh Consulting has the rights for these products outside of the U.S.A. In addition, we sell products for Psychometrics Canada in Europe, which include an array of complementary products in the area of personal development and assessment. These products and services are under licensing agreement with MacKintosh Consulting. Individuals do not have the rights to market and deliver these products and services under their own name without expressed permission from MacKintosh Consulting. The Belgard/Lightspeed Learning products are the property of MacKintosh Consulting not the individuals. An overriding vision for MacKintosh Consulting is for the individuals who contribute to the success of the organisation to own a piece of the company in their geographic area. For example, individuals who work for MacKintosh Consulting (UK) would own a percentage of this company and individuals who work for MacKintosh Consulting (Canada) would own a percentage of that company. The goal for ownership is October 2003. At this point ATHAPASKA would propose to own 50% of the companies with a goal of 30% based on future company growth. This would be within 5- 6 years and would offer the 20% to the "local" company initially. The initial division of the remaining 50% would be determined by the MacKintoshers and would reflect the contributions made by the individuals.
